Dear Users,
Greetings!
Cobalt metal is a key raw material for manufacturing products such as high-temperature alloys, cemented carbides, and magnetic materials. Europe, as a significant global center for aerospace, high-end manufacturing, and chemicals, is also one of the core consumer markets for refined cobalt, and its price dynamics will significantly influence the global market structure and pricing.
After one month of market surveys and consultations, SMM gathered opinions from various parties. Given that Rotterdam, as Europe's largest port, aggregates raw materials from major producing regions worldwide and spot cargo circulating within the region, it has formed a mature warehousing, logistics, and trading network. The prices there truly reflect the arrival costs, supply-demand balance, and regional premiums in the European market, providing market participants with a crucial price reference benchmark.
After a period of accumulation and market surveys, SMM plans to introduce a new cobalt metal price for the Rotterdam warehouse starting from August 1, 2025.
